The SFC explores the skin as a network
On 8 and 9 December 2026, the Société Française de Cosmétologie will bring together the scientific community in Paris and online for the 20th edition of its International Symposium, dedicated to the theme Skin & Interfaces: Decoding the Living Network. The aim is to move beyond a fragmented approach to skin research and explore its interactions with other organs, the microbiome and the environment through the concept of the “interactome”.
The programme will focus on four main areas: tissue interfaces and host-microbiota dialogue, the scalp-hair ecosystem, the skin–brain axis and neuroscience, and nature as a partner. Three young researchers from France and Italy will also be highlighted during a dedicated round table.
Held entirely in English, the Symposium brings together more than 200 researchers, industry professionals, start-ups, service providers and students each year for keynotes, scientific sessions and discussions with speakers.
