Chinese cosmetics group Proya Cosmetics inaugurated a new laboratory within its Europe Innovation Center in Suresnes on 13 October, following the centre’s establishment in Paris-La Défense in 2024. Covering 450 sqm, the facility houses 76 pieces of equipment and a team of seven dedicated researchers, focusing on areas in which Europe has strong expertise: longevity, skin biology, biotechnology, and sustainable ingredients and technologies.

The site is designed to complement Proya’s Chinese R&D centres, including Hangzhou, which focuses on formulation, ingredients, safety and efficacy, and Shanghai, dedicated to hair care and the scalp microbiome. The group aims to strengthen links between European and Chinese research and accelerate the translation of scientific advances into new cosmetic applications.
