Amorepacific combines AI and skin science
At the IFSCC Congress 2026 in Perth, the South Korean cosmetics group presented nine studies combining artificial intelligence, digital data and skin science. One of them uses transcriptomics and deep learning to model heat-accelerated skin ageing, predict its progression and ingredient efficacy, while identifying potential approaches to help restore certain age-related skin damage. A second technology visualises the distribution and movement of moisture across the skin surface in real time during product application, then converts these phenomena into data correlated with sensory evaluations. Finally, AI analysis of video interviews conducted in Brazil and Mexico showed that, for moisturisers designed for sensitive skin, fast absorption, lightweight texture and skin-barrier benefits are among the main drivers of consumer preference.
