Plisson 1808: from shaving to fragrance

Acquired in 2019 by Isabelle and Thomas Villeneuve, Plisson 1808 is continuing the transformation of a French house founded in 1808 and historically specialising in shaving. Following the launch of a premium cosmetics range in 2022, it is now expanding into fragrance with Collection 1808, comprising six eaux de parfum created by Marine Ipert (Takasago), Vincent Ricord (TechnicoFlor) and Alexis Dadier (Robertet).

In Cannes during TFWA, the owners intend to use this new category as a springboard for international growth. Already stocked at Printemps Haussmann and in New York, the range has notably helped open up the South African market. The aim is now to generate more than 50% of revenue outside France by 2027. Priority regions include Latin America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, while the US is considered a strategic market over the medium term. Nearly 40% of the business is currently generated through direct sales, primarily online.
