Zenagen prepares the scalp for colour services

The US professional haircare brand specialising in scalp-focused solutions has launched Scalp Prep+, a pre-service treatment designed to reduce discomfort associated with chemical salon procedures. Applied directly to the scalp three minutes before colouring, bleaching, lightening, relaxing or smoothing services, its lightweight formula is designed not to interfere with professional formulations or affect their performance.

At the heart of the product, proprietary ComfortVeil technology uses a multi-action system designed to support the scalp’s natural protective barrier and reduce burning, stinging and discomfort during chemical processing. It is complemented by a proprietary botanical complex containing rosemary, green tea, CO₂-extracted pumpkin seed, turmeric, saw palmetto and red clover, among other ingredients selected to help maintain a balanced scalp environment.

According to clinical testing reported by Zenagen, Scalp Prep+ can reduce certain sensations of discomfort associated with chemical services by up to 80%. Its soothing effect is said to be noticeable within three minutes, with an immediate cooling sensation.
