The US cosmetics group is strengthening its strategic partnership with Microsoft to accelerate the deployment of cloud, data and artificial intelligence technologies across the company. A unified data platform will connect information from its brands, regions, distribution channels and business functions, with the aim of reducing duplication and making data easier to leverage.

The Estée Lauder Companies plans to focus its use of AI on three priorities: growth and personalisation, decision-making and productivity. In R&I and across the value chain, Estée Lauder also intends to better connect the design, validation and manufacturing stages, with the aim of shortening the time from concept to market.

Microsoft Copilot is already used by more than 14,000 office-based employees worldwide. The group is also testing AI agents designed to automate certain tasks and streamline business processes.
