Spelman College strengthens cosmetic science education

Based in Atlanta, this undergraduate cosmetic science programme is presented as the first of its kind at an HBCU — a Historically Black College or University. It aims to train future specialists in research, formulation, product development and innovation across the beauty industry.

The programme will be recognised at the 2026 Bronner Bros. Beauty Icon Awards, alongside a number of beauty entrepreneurs and industry professionals. The recognition highlights the growing importance of scientific and technical expertise in training the beauty industry's next generation of talent.
