SOCS: Skin of Colour Driving Innovation

The 22^nd Skin of Color Society (SOCS) symposium, held on 26 March 2026 in Denver, confirmed the central role of skin of colour dermatology in scientific and cosmetic advancements. Bringing together nearly 500 international experts, the event highlighted several key issues, including the assessment of inflammation in pigmented skin, hair regrowth strategies in alopecia, and the identification of biomarkers specific to skin disorders. The growing integration of artificial intelligence into dermatological practice also drew attention, paving the way for more personalised diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The symposium further emphasised the importance of knowledge transfer, notably through mentorship programmes supporting the next generation of specialists.
