Natural Notes goes back to the source of fragrance

For its second edition at Beautyworld Dubai, Natural Notes, an initiative by Messe Frankfurt developed with French agency Resperfuma, will give a voice to seven producers of natural fragrance ingredients. Bulgarian rose and lavender, Italian citrus, Indonesian patchouli and sandalwood, Indian jasmine, vetiver and mint, and Sri Lankan spices: the dedicated space puts origins and producers centre stage, bringing them face to face with perfumers and buyers.

Beyond discovering the ingredients themselves, this second edition aims to open up discussion around the issues shaping their future: traceability, biodiversity, relationships with producing communities and supply-chain resilience. A reminder that fragrance creation begins long before an ingredient reaches the perfumer’s laboratory.
