Natexpo gains ground in Lyon
Ahead of its 28–29 September edition at Eurexpo Lyon, Natexpo is reporting 15% more exhibitors than at its previous Lyon edition. A quarter are first-time exhibitors, while 40% of exhibitors declared a new product or innovation when registering.
The show will notably put pricing and distribution at the heart of the debate. A study conducted by Retail and Detail for La Maison de la Bio found that, across ten everyday products, a basket purchased from specialist organic retailers costs €3 less than its equivalent made up of leading non-organic national brands in mainstream retail. For five fruit and vegetable staples, the picture is reversed, with the organic basket costing €2 more. Organic food inflation, the European market, AI and the use of customer data will also feature on the programme.
