The French group is investing €45 m in the construction of its future Fragrance Design Centre at Le Bar-sur-Loup, where the foundation stone was laid on 21 September. Set on an 8,900 sqm site and scheduled to open in 2028, the centre will bring together around 250 employees involved in fragrance creation, evaluation and development for the Consumer Goods business, including perfumers, evaluators, scientific experts, development teams and technical functions.

Designed to support Mane’s customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the centre will work closely with the Group’s other creative centres to develop fragrances for markets worldwide. It will bring together the various disciplines involved in fragrance development, from olfactory creation and evaluation to ensuring creations meet market expectations, with a focus on creativity, naturality, performance and responsibility.

Designed to comply with France’s RE2020 environmental regulations, the building will feature rooftop photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 178 kWp. The renewable energy generated will help reduce the site’s electricity requirements and the carbon footprint associated with its operations.
