To develop Day Glow Sun Serum, its first sun care product for the US market, the skincare brand created by lululab is taking artificial intelligence beyond diagnosis and product recommendation. Ludient drew on luluTI™, its proprietary skin analysis technology, and a global database of more than 5 million skin data points to identify recurring concerns and translate them into formulation priorities.
The result is a broad-spectrum sun serum combining daily UV protection with skincare benefits in a lightweight, radiance-enhancing texture that can be used on its own or before make-up. The launch brings Ludient’s US range to four products, addressing concerns including a compromised skin barrier, visible pores, uneven skin tone and lack of radiance.
Spun out of Samsung Electronics’ C-Lab in 2017, lululab thus aims to make AI a product development tool, extending its use beyond diagnosis and recommendation.
