The software provider has unveiled two AI tools for R&D and regulatory teams. Purple turns a marketing brief or INCI list into a proposed formulation while integrating regulatory compliance from the design stage. The agent draws on each company’s own raw materials and data together with the Coptis knowledge base, rather than general-purpose LLMs.

With Document Reader, Coptis is also automating the creation of raw-material records from supplier documents. The tool extracts and checks data before pre-filling fields including INCI composition, traces, alerts and naturality information under ISO 16128 and Cosmos. Planned developments include source-level traceability for each extracted item, multi-format imports and updates to existing records.
