The California-based startup specializing in scalp health and hair regrowth has announced a Series A funding round led by Prelude Growth Partners. Founded in 2023 by dermatologist James Kilgour, KilgourMD is already demonstrating strong commercial traction, with one bottle of serum sold every 20 seconds.

This funding will support clinical research, the development of new formulations, and the expansion of its portfolio of active ingredients. The company notably relies on promising results: 95% of participants in a clinical trial experienced reduced hair loss within six weeks.
