On the occasion of the launch of Pulse®, a second-generation alcohol developed by the French company Intact, Guerlain unveils a new opus of L’Homme Idéal Cologne Forte. This collaboration marks a major breakthrough in perfumery: for the first time, a Maison is incorporating an alcohol derived from organic legumes into an iconic fragrance.
Designed using a circular, low-carbon process, Pulse® is produced from residues of legume crops — plants known for their ability to naturally regenerate soils through nitrogen fixation. Developed to address the environmental challenges facing the industry, this innovative alcohol is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 80% compared with conventional alcohols.
As part of its Act for a Living Beauty program, Guerlain thus reaffirms its leadership in eco-design and sustainable innovation, while paving the way for a more responsible and living-respectful perfumery.
