Givaudan boosts long-lasting diffusion

The Swiss group is rolling out PlanetCaps™, its microplastic-free biodegradable encapsulation technology, in body and hair care products. Based on polymeric systems designed to optimise adhesion to fibres and hair, it enables progressive fragrance release through friction and use, with a range of around twenty hedonic profiles. Industrial capacity will be expanded in Singapore from 2026 to meet global demand. The group is also introducing Laundry Serum Irresistible, a concentrated booster for scented laundry capsules, optimised for textile substantivity.

For its part, Scentaurus™ PolyDoux enriches the range of fragrance precursors: activated by oxygen and humidity, this system generates in situ, a high-impact powdery raspberry-vanilla note, prolonging the lingering effect on synthetic fibres and hair keratin. The range is part of the group's 2030 strategy, centred on biodegradability and sustainable performance.
