Fragrance stays on course

France’s aromatic products industry maintained positive momentum in the second quarter of 2026. According to the French National Association of Aromatic Product Manufacturers (Prodarom), turnover reached €561 m, up 4.9% year on year, while exports rose 6.8% to €441 m. Fragrance activity grew by 6.2%.
In the Grasse region, companies contributing to the association’s statistics reported turnover of €458 m, a 3.4% increase compared with 2025, including €394.4 m in exports (+5.3%). Fragrance activity rose 4.4%, while local employment increased 5.5%, to 4,119 employees across 13 companies.
For the first half of the year as a whole, national turnover stood at €1.129 bn, up 4.7%, with fragrance activity growing by 5.6%. Prodarom nevertheless highlights mounting regulatory pressure, alongside rising costs for raw materials, energy, transport, logistics and packaging.
