Climate change: France Chimie launches the ChemAdapt tool

To help the 4,000 French sites anticipate climate hazards (droughts, floods), the professional organisation for chemical companies in France has launched the online platform ChemAdapt. Developed in partnership with Axionable, this tool enables users to assess a site's exposure according to its geolocation as well as its current and future exposure to climate hazards, using data from Météo-France and the World Resources Institute. It then suggests specific measures from a selection of 650 adaptation actions. Having been piloted on around fifty test sites, ChemAdapt complements the methodological guide published by France Chimie, providing new practical support for preparing industrial facilities for climate risks.
