To mark the 30th anniversary of its iconic Butterfly fragrance, Hanae Mori is celebrating the lasting success of a creation that has become a cornerstone of its fragrance collection. Introduced in 1996, the eau de parfum (€115 for 100 ml) blends fruity and floral notes of wild strawberry, peony and almond with a woody vanilla base, striking a balance between gourmand sensuality and sophistication.

The anniversary coincides with the centenary of Hanae Mori's birth. A pioneering figure in fashion, she was the first Japanese woman admitted to the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris. In tribute to her legacy, the National Art Center, Tokyo, is hosting a major retrospective from 15 April to 6 July 2026.

From a sustainability standpoint, the brand is highlighting a fully glass, plastic-free butterfly-shaped cap, along with cartons and packaging made from responsibly sourced materials, reflecting its commitment to combining heritage, innovation and environmental responsibility.
