AAK certifies its FairWild shea emollients

The Swedish group, a specialist in vegetable oils and fats, is extending FairWild certification to its range of shea-based emollients for cosmetics, ensuring enhanced traceability and a positive impact on supply chains. Sourced from the Kolo Nafaso programme, these ingredients support over 230,000 women in West Africa and cover 400,000 hectares of sustainable harvesting. Two models are available: segregated, with full traceability, and mass balance, which allows wider access to certified materials.
