Just a few weeks after announcing the acquisition of Mibelle Biochemistry, the French group has carried out another external growth move with the purchase of Seqens’ Botanical Actives and In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) business. Based in Limoges, the unit develops and manufactures high-performance plant-derived active ingredients for the cosmetics industry, as well as plasmas and sera for diagnostic applications. The site is recognized for its expertise in botanical extraction and its high-end manufacturing capabilities, with products marketed worldwide to leading players in both sectors.

Through this transaction, Solabia aims to strengthen its position in the market for active cosmetic ingredients while securing the supply of strategic raw materials for its diagnostic activities. The integration of this business should also support the development of new innovative solutions for both markets, confirming the expansion strategy pursued by the company in high value-added, science-driven ingredients (see Expression Cosmétique N°96, p.124: Interview of Luiz Motta, Group R&D Director: https://fr.zone-secure.net/48287/2565373/#page=126).
