Solabia acquires Mibelle Biochemistry from Persán

The French specialist in natural ingredients has announced the acquisition of Swiss specialty actives pioneer Mibelle Biochemistry from the Spanish group Persán, a division of Mibelle Group that Persán acquired from Migros in 2025. A global reference in plant biotechnology, Mibelle Biochemistry supplies high-performance ingredients to the cosmetics and nutraceutical industries in more than 50 countries.

Through this transaction, Solabia strengthens its position in the high scientific value-added actives segment by integrating complementary expertise in sustainable innovation. The move forms part of a particularly dynamic acquisition cycle driven by a strategy of technological diversification. The group has successively integrated U.S.-based Applechem (sun care dispersions), France’s PolymerExpert (high-tech polymers), as well as Israel’s Algatech and Brittany-based Algues & Mer, establishing itself as a key player in marine and microalgae-derived actives.

The transaction, the financial terms of which remain undisclosed, is expected to be finalized in the coming months.
