Safic-Alcan snaps up Deveraux Specialties

The distributor has reached a key milestone in its growth strategy for the Americas with the acquisition of its Californian counterpart. Spearheaded by its subsidiary ChemSpec USA, the move strengthens its Personal Care offering in North America with over 550 new product lines and a portfolio of 260 active customers. The merger of the two entities, scheduled for 2027, will enable Safic-Alcan to achieve critical mass across the entire US territory, particularly on the West Coast. Paolo Marchesi, formerly of Deveraux Specialties, will join the group’s executive team as Vice President Life Sciences for the United States.
