Melt&Marble secures its first INCI name

The Swedish biotech company has obtained its first INCI name, r-Saccharomyces Butter, for its lipid Marble7®. Produced through precision fermentation, this ingredient is designed to replace lipids of petrochemical, animal or non-sustainable plant origin. This regulatory validation paves the way for a commercial launch as early as 2026. At the same time, the company is beefing up its teams with experienced professionals in marketing and formulation to accelerate its market entry. Melt&Marble thus aims to establish itself as a key player in bespoke biosourced lipids, combining sensory performance with environmental responsibility.
