The French group and the American specialist in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing are expanding their partnership to integrate the Alchemi machine learning platform into L’Oréal’s Research & Innovation activities. The objective is to model molecular behavior at the atomic scale and virtually simulate ingredient performance. This approach enables the simultaneous testing of multiple variables and significantly reduces development timelines, with a discovery process reported to be up to 100 times faster. The work focuses in particular on photoprotection and complexion modulation, with the aim of identifying optimal formulations before their physical production in the laboratory. L’Oréal will present these advances at the NVIDIA GTC AI conference in San Jose.
