InnCoCell: New plant extracts

As part of the European InnCoCells project, the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland has identified 25 plant extracts with anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties (see Expression Cosmétique No. 86, p. 94). This pioneering research combines proven efficacy with sustainable production methods, such as cell cultures, greenhouse cultivation and the valorisation of agricultural by-products. Notable discoveries include extracts from Cochlearia danica, Capsicum chinense and Ocimum basilicum cell cultures, which have demonstrated exceptional properties with no skin irritation.
