Dia-Stron introduces its hair imaging technology

The expert in instrumentation and hair fibre testing services is expanding its offering with an advanced tool capable of visually analysing hair. Dia-Stron aims to improve ingredient and product performance measurement and substantiate claims relating to strength, repair, protection, ease of styling and softness. The company draws on the imaging techniques of its American subsidiary, Bossa Nova Vision, which it acquired in May 2023. The device uses cutting-edge vision and image analysis algorithms to test shine, frizz, volume, curl hold (Shuffle Multi 360), colour (Mambo), and finally, repeated styling and breakage resistance (Sirtaki). These assessments can be performed on different hair types and adapted to various treatment protocols.
