On April 1–2, 2026, the 26th Regulatory Congress of the French professional association will bring together nearly 400 cosmetics professionals in Paris to analyze regulatory developments shaping the sector. Regulatory affairs specialists, compliance managers and decision-makers will meet with French and European regulatory authorities to discuss the new requirements governing the industry.
Among the institutions represented will be ANSES, the European Commission, the DGCCRF, the ARPP and the French Directorate General of Customs. The aim is to enable direct dialogue with industry players in an increasingly complex regulatory environment, marked by strengthened European standards and diverging international requirements.
The program will address several operational challenges for companies, including risk analysis in Good Manufacturing Practices, the substantiation of environmental claims, and feedback from international inspections. A round table will also focus on PFAS following the entry into force, on January 1, 2026, of the French law regulating these substances in cosmetic products.
Finally, several sessions will examine regulatory constraints affecting exports, particularly to China, the United States and the Middle East, as cosmetics remain one of France’s leading export sectors.
