The Marseille-based specialist in formulation technologies and microfluidics applied to beauty is continuing its international expansion with the acquisition of KKT Labs, an independent U.S. cosmetic innovation laboratory specializing in clean beauty and biotech formulations. The transaction will strengthen Capsum's presence in the United States while expanding its product development capabilities.
Founded by biochemist Krupa Koestline, KKT Labs is recognized for its expertise in advanced formulation, biotechnology, and the creation of proprietary concepts for beauty brands. Its business model is based on developing formulations whose intellectual property is owned by the brands themselves, as well as on a strong ability to anticipate scientific and regulatory developments.
The integration is expected to enable Capsum to accelerate the development of innovative solutions built around emerging biotechnology-derived active ingredients and to strengthen its offering across the entire value chain, from ideation to industrialization.
Krupa Koestline has been appointed to lead Capsum USA, while the company's U.S. R&D activities are expected to play an increasingly important role in the group's innovation strategy.
