Insilica strengthens in silico safety assessment

US computational toxicology specialist is integrating ProtoQSAR’s ProtoPRED® suite into its ToxIndex platform, adding more than 60 predictive models to an environment that already brings together over 150 computational tools. The aim is to accelerate chemical safety assessment as New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) gain ground, notably by reducing reliance on animal testing.
The modules cover areas ranging from toxicity and ecotoxicity to endocrine disruption, genotoxicity, physicochemical properties and nanomaterial safety. The system can also be deployed on site, allowing confidential chemical structures to remain behind the client’s firewall. ProtoQSAR targets sectors including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and agrochemicals.
