BWT Pharma & Biotech expands

The water treatment specialist has quadrupled the size of its production site in Aesch, Switzerland, one of the seven production sites, part of its division dedicated to the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and biotechnology industries. This expansion directly strengthens the capabilities of its recently created subsidiary, BWT Pharma & Biotech France, to meet the specific needs of the French market. The 1,280 m² plant now comprises three FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) areas, each measuring 100 m². This enables installations to undergo testing in real conditions before deployment at clients' sites. The subsidiary offers state-of-the-art water treatment systems tailored to the French market. BWT has developed Aqu@Sense MB, the first alternative method to receive EU GMP 2022 primary validation for microbiological control of purified water quality. It guarantees reliable results in just thirty minutes, compared to five days for traditional methods.
