The German chemical group is rolling out a new distribution model for its Home Care, Industrial & Institutional Cleaning and technical applications businesses in Latin America, aimed at optimising processes and centralising customer engagement at a regional level.
BASF is expanding the scope of IMCD, its distributor in Mexico since 2019, to Central America and the Caribbean as well as Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil. This setup will be complemented by local distributors in selected markets.
The organisation is intended to replicate across the region an operating model already proven in Mexico, in order to enhance service consistency and strengthen proximity to customers and formulators in the cleaning sector.
BASF states that this development is part of its strategy to reinforce its service offering and technical support in Latin America, in a market driven by performance, innovation and sustainability requirements.
