BASF is expanding its APG production in Thailand

The German giant is inaugurating a new alkyl polyglucoside (APG) production unit at its Bangpakong site. This expansion is part of the BASF Group's strategy to increase agility in the Asian market and improve service to the personal care, home care, and industrial sectors. APGs are already produced in Germany, China and the United States, where a new production line is scheduled to start up in 2026. These bio-based, biodegradable and versatile surfactants are made from 100% renewable raw materials.
