New Wave Biotech and CPI optimise lipid extraction

The British start-up – founded in 2022 and specialising in AI-powered acceleration of biofabrication scale-up – is partnering with the social innovation organisation to improve lipid extraction, a critical process for both food and cosmetics. By combining AI-driven hybrid simulations with solvent-based and solvent-free methods, this partnership aims to tackle a decade-old challenge by reducing costs and testing, while promoting sustainable alternatives to palm oil.
