The global market for cosmetics ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) providers is expected to nearly double by 2036, according to Future Market Insights. Valued at $16.5 billion (€15.4 bn) in 2026, it is projected to reach $30.5 billion (€28.5 bn) by 2036, representing an average annual growth rate of 6.4%. This momentum is driven by increased outsourcing of product development, pressure on time-to-market, and an increasingly demanding regulatory framework.

Skincare largely dominates the segment, accounting for 46% of market share, ahead of creams and lotions (38%), while online sales already represent 39% of distribution channels. The United States, China and India are among the main growth drivers, with respective annual growth rates of 7.6%, 8.7% and 8.2%. The sector remains dominated by major players such as Cosmax, Intercos and Kolmar Korea, and is evolving through the adoption of standardised development models, digital formulation tools, and strengthened regulatory compliance capabilities.
