The global coconut oil market could reach $11.05 billion by 2031, up from $7.75 billion in 2026, according to Mordor Intelligence, representing an average annual growth rate of 7.36%. Among the most dynamic segments is cosmetics, expected to grow by 7.75% per year over the period. This growth is driven by increasing demand for natural, minimally processed, and traceable formulations across skincare, haircare, and wellness categories. Manufacturers are therefore increasing investments in virgin, organic, and cold-pressed oils to meet expectations related to clean beauty and plant-based ingredients. Already widely used for its moisturizing and nourishing properties, coconut oil is also gaining ground in premium products, where it is gradually replacing certain synthetic emollients. Asia-Pacific remains the main production hub, while North America is experiencing the fastest growth, supported by the rise of natural skincare and nutraceuticals.
