The French skincare company is strengthening its scientific strategy with the creation of the Dr Olivier Courtin Clarins Longevity Research Center, dedicated to the biology of skin longevity. Located between Paris and the company's Pontoise laboratories, the center will bring together experts in ageing biology, dermatology, epidemiology, behavioural sciences, biomedical engineering and data science. It builds on 30 years of research, resulting in 10 patents, 13 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 12 international academic partnerships.

The center will define new research directions in longevity science, lead doctoral and postdoctoral research programmes in collaboration with international universities, and investigate the biological mechanisms involved in skin ageing. Its research will focus in particular on biomarkers, epigenetics, cellular senescence, mitochondrial dysfunction, chronic inflammation, and the interactions between lifestyle and skin health.
