Clariant steps up investment in China

The Swiss group has completed a CHF 80 million investment to expand its Daya Bay site, thereby increasing its production capabilities for pharmaceutical excipients and specialty chemicals. The new infrastructure includes a second spray tower for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), a multipurpose plant with an additional reactor, and increased production of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and ethylene oxide derivatives for use in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and household sectors.
