Aptar Beauty extends all-polyolefin packaging to cosmetic pumps

The dispensing system specialist is expanding its Advance platform with Novus Advance, a pump designed for body care, sun care, and hair care. Its engine combines polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE): according to Aptar Beauty, the pump is recyclable in PET and PE streams when paired with an HDPE, PP, or PET bottle. It is also designed without POM and can incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin.

Its bellows dispensing system, positioned outside the metering chamber, delivers doses of 350 or 500µl and is suitable for viscosities ranging from oils to creams and serums. Aptar Beauty also notes compatibility with a wide range of formulations, including those containing short-chain alkanes, subject to compatibility testing. Capless and featuring a twist-to-lock mechanism, Novus Advance also complies with internal ISTA-6 Overbox tests, which are designed for the specific challenges of e-commerce distribution.
